Your show.
A film that lasts.

A concert film is more than a recording. It is the most powerful marketing tool a musician or band can build over time. Festivals require live footage before they book. Booking agents want to see how a band performs on stage. And from a single concert, content often emerges for months: the full film, individual songs, teasers, behind-the-scenes, social media clips. We come to you – from a small club evening to a major festival, and just as much for theatre productions and dance performances. Multi-camera, professional live audio recording, editing and mastering from one source.

Three levels.
One honest price.

A concert film is made in three phases: Vorproduktion, Shoottag und Post-production. For a Recording, pre-production is straightforward. For Film and Blockbuster, it's a project in its own right Projekt: Conceptentwicklung, Kamerabewegungen einstudieren, Lichtdesign ausarbeiten, Locations begutachten, Logistik planen.

Die Post-production – Post-production – editing, colour grading, audio – is the largest cost. Our day rate is 700 € (incl. VAT). What that buys is not mechanical processing but real creative craft: every cut a decision, every grade a judgement. The goal is a result that doesn't look like a live recording – but like a film.

What determines the price: number of songs, cameras, locations, lighting setups, and how much pre-production is needed. The example calculations below give a direction, not a guarantee.

Why no fixed price?

What a Blockbuster production costs depends on too many factors to name a fixed price. The shoot alone – depending on camera setup, lighting rig, crane, drone and crew – can easily run into tens of thousands before post-production even begins. Add 2–3 months of editing, colour grading and audio mixing. The result justifies the investment – but it needs to be planned realisticallyplant werden.

Investment approx.40.000–80.000 €
  • All cameras from the Film package
  • Crane / jib + drone (indoor & outdoor)
  • Lighting design included
  • Multiple locations & times of day
  • Behind-the-scenes footage
  • Elaborate colour grading per lighting setup
  • Ton-Mixing & mastering included
  • Teaser & trailer included
  • Post-production: 2–3 Monate
  • DCP for cinema on request
  • DCP cinema file on request at extra cost

What affects the price

Number of songs Every song needs its own edit, colour correction and audio sync. 5 songs ≠ 15 songs.
Locations & Lichtstimmungen Different locations or times of day mean more colour grading – evening, afternoon and indoor are three different worlds.
Audio included? Mixing & mastering of the concert audio is included in Film & Blockbuster. Optional add-on for Recording. Per song approx. 350–500 €.

What we can handle completely.

Our experience goes beyond concerts. We have also filmed theatre productions and dance performances – with the same demands on cinematography, lighting and audio. Professional documentation protects your work: it makes visible what happens on stage and allows you to pass that moment on – for funding applications, festival submissions or simply as a lasting record of a production.

What touring bands often need

  • Fast turnaround (24–72h rough cut)
  • Social media clips for immediate release
  • Multiple concerts in different cities
  • Clean desk feed for release-quality audio
  • English-speaking team

What musicians ask before getting in touch.

How many cameras make sense for a concert film?
It depends on the format. For a clean recording, two moving cameras are sufficient. For a cinematic concert film – with dynamic editing, different perspectives and close-ups – four or more cameras make sense. More cameras also mean more flexibility in the edit, and therefore a better result.
Are concert films suitable for festival applications?
Yes – and that is often the deciding factor. Many festivals require professional video material as part of the application. A well-produced concert film shows not just how a band sounds, but how they perform on stage – and that is exactly what bookers want to see.
Can the material be used for social media later?
Absolutely – and that is one of the biggest advantages. From a single concert, content often emerges for many months: the full film, individual song videos, short clips for Instagram and TikTok, behind-the-scenes material and teasers for future shows. We deliver all formats.
Is a single concert enough for a professional film?
Yes. Most of our concert films come from a single show. What matters is not the number of concerts but the quality of the production. With the right setup – cameras, lighting, live audio – a good show can become a film that feels like a fully produced work.
Does the audio need to be recorded on location, or is a desk feed enough?
A clean desk feed (direct output) is the foundation. We usually record multitrack – meaning every instrument and every microphone lands on its own track. This allows a professional mix afterwards that is markedly different from a simple desk recording.
